Ana Belen Garcia

Ana B. García was born in 1977 in Andoain (Guipuzkoa), where she started her musical studies.

It was at the Conservatoire of San Sebastian that she obtained her advanced diplomas in piano (C. Navajas) and harpsichord (L. F. Imaz) and her degree in organ studies (E. Elizondo).

She finished her organ studies in the Advanced Centre of Music in San Sebastian: Musikene, with Esteban Landart, and completed her formation with different professors such as Loic Mallie, with whom she is taking improvisation classes.

She has received advice from various masters, for example: Brett Leighton, Michel Bouvard, Joris Verdin, Louis Robilliard, Montserrat Torrent, Jacques van Oortmerssen, Wolfgang Zerer, Pieter van Dijk…

She has taken part, both as a soloist and an accompanist, in numerous international music festivals, performing various styles, from Baroque to contemporary. Committed to the latest musical trends, she has premiered pieces at festivals such as the ‘Quincena Musical’ (San Sebastian), León and Zagreb (Croacia).

García has been awarded several scholarships by the ‘Enrique Lartundo Foundation’, and, after perfecting her organ studies with Jesus Martin Moro at the National Music School of Pau, she received a “Unanimously voted Distinction”.

She is currently teaching piano and organ at the ‘Lourdes Iriondo’ School of Music in Urnieta (Guipuzkoa), and collaborates as a repertoire coach with the Easo Music School choirs in Donostia. She is also the resident organist at the Santa Maria del Coro Basilica in San Sebastian (Cavaille-Coll. 1863).
